Absolutely! Whilst Woodlands Hotel is based in Leeds, I photograph weddings all across Yorkshire, Derbyshire and South Yorkshire including Sheffield, Doncaster, Chesterfield, Barnsley and beyond.
A lot of my couples travel from surrounding areas to get married at Woodlands because it’s such a gorgeous venue with great transport links.
What if it rains on our wedding day?
Honestly, don’t panic about rain on your wedding day! the Woodlands Hotel is one of those venues that still photographs beautifully even if the weather changes.
The Orangery has the dreamiest natural light indoors, and there are lots of elegant interior spaces we can use for romantic portraits if needed. I always come prepared with backup plans so you’ll still have a stunning gallery whatever the weather does.
How long should we leave for couple portraits?
I usually recommend around 15–20 minutes at sunset plus a few short relaxed portrait moments earlier in the day.
I never want you to feel like you’re away from your guests for ages, so I keep things natural, easy and fun whilst still creating beautiful romantic images you’ll absolutely love.
Do you help with posing?
Yes — 100%. Most of my couples tell me they’re awkward in front of the camera before their wedding, and honestly that’s completely normal. I’ll gently guide you in a really relaxed way so nothing feels stiff or overly posed. My approach is focused on natural movement, genuine connection and creating photographs that feel like YOU.
How far in advance should we book our Woodlands Hotel wedding photographer?
Most couples book around 12–24 months in advance, especially for popular summer dates and weekend weddings.
