The Bethany Maeve
Experience
Capturing Your Special Moments
At Bethany Maeve Photography, I believe in capturing the story of your wedding day in the most natural and genuine way.
My photography centres on making sure you're put at ease and enjoy the day, which allows me to capture the real emotions and moments that make each wedding unique.
I want to see those genuine smiles and laughs, capturing your story as amazing as it felt.
How it Works

Step 01
Getting to know you
I start by getting to know you and your partner, your story, and your vision for your wedding day. This will be over a MS Teams video call.
This allows me to understand the vision for your day and gives you the opportunity to ask any questions.
Step 02
Capturing Your Love Story
If you decide to go ahead with booking me (yay!) we will organise another catch up 1 month before your event. This is where I will request your wedding schedule i.e. timeline of the day, finalised locations etc.

On the day, I carry out a blend into the background approach and capture things as they happen, like a fly on the wall—only with a great camera.
I ensure to capture those real moments, whether it’s the spark in your eyes when you first see each other, or the quiet smiles you think no one notices, I’ll be there to catch it all.
After all, it’s those little moments that tell your unique love story.

Step 03
Editing your photos
48 hours after your wedding, you will receive a preview gallery containing a selection of fully edited images from your wedding album.
The final images will be ready in 8-10 weeks.
Step 04
Your Wedding Photos
With any of my photography packages, you can be assured that you’ll receive hundreds of high resolution images that you can enjoy and cherish for years to come.

All your photos will be available in your own private online gallery, where you can download all your files without watermarks.

I have listed some frequently asked questions below.
If there's anything else you'd like to know, please don't hesitate to reach out.
-
How long have you been a wedding photographer?I studied photography at college, I then progressed to wedding photography in 2018. Wedding photography holds a special place in my heart, I love the idea that I get to capture such magical memories for couples to treasure forever!
-
Where are you based & how far will you travel?I am based in Derbyshire and I will travel anywhere in the UK or abroad! My wedding photography packages include travel costs 75 miles from my base, after which 50p p/mile charge will apply. If the venue is over a 2 hour drive then accommodation may be requested, but only I feel it necessary. If you are thinking of holding a wedding outside of the UK then that’s great too. We will work together to discuss a suitable fee for travel and accommodation during our consultation. The advantage of having a local photographer at your wedding abroad is you will get to know me before the day and you know what to expect!
-
What is included in your Wedding Photography Packages?I offer 3 separate Wedding Photography packages, my Pricing page breaks down all the different services included within each package. I also offer Optional Extra's if you wish to create a more bespoke experiences.
-
How much time do we need to allocate for Photography on the day?I like to allocate 2 hours to Bridal &/or Groom prep to ensure I get the detailed shots of your dress, shoes, flowers, rings etc. I then like to allocate 20-30 minutes for group shots, we will discuss essential family and groups shots within our 1 month prior-to-event catch up. After the ceremony, I will carry out your Newlywed shots, and this is where we can whack out the confettiI! These photos should take around 20-30 minutes, I ensure to work quickly so you can get back to your guests and party.
-
Do you have insurance?Yes, I have up to date public liability insurance. Please don't hesitate to let me know if your venue needs a copy of this upon booking. I also ensure to bring back up cameras and lenses for every single wedding I partake in.
-
Can you take formal shots? If that’s what you would like then yes! I do however limit the amount of structured formal photos to 10 group shots. This is because through my experience I have always found the unposed, natural and candid photos to be more tear-jerkers, so that is what I base my photography service around.
-
Will you need to view our venue beforehand?I find visiting venues this isn't usually necessary as weather conditions always vary where we'll be taking photos on the day. But don't worry, I always ensure get to my couples' venue nice and early and seek out all the best spots to capture your wonderful portraits!
